Unlike other wooden fruit cages, our cages are stand alone structures. The legs sink into the ground by 300mm and the structure is fully braced to give maximum strength and all timber is treated.
This is not a flimsy metal type.
Measuring 4.8m or 2.4m by 2.4m and at 2.1m high. The posts are 75mm x 75mm and the rails are 75mm x 47mm .
All the posts are recessed for the rails to sit in and the structure is then screwed together. This gives maximum strength and produces an attractive structure.
The netting is purpose made fruit cage netting (not the cheap type) so as to allow the bees in but not the birds. The cage comes with a door and all fixings. The timbers are all pre-drilled and instructions are included.
Our standard size is 2.4 meter square and we supply a 2.4 meter extension kit.
